Episode 46: Latinas Who Brunch

Hello hello helloooo (que show que show que show)! We’re changing things un poquito today in honor of our podcast amigos Latinos Who Lunch, whose Radio Lonchea homages to our format inspired us to return the favor. This one’s definitely a different one for us! We’re ditching the música (just for this week!) to have a long-form convo about our podcast, the rationale for choices that we’ve made behind the scenes, sexism and misogyny in podcasting, name and gender anxiety, and a little bit about our lives outside of Radio Menea.

On the podcast we spoke about our other project babies, linked below si quieren saber más:

Go follow Latinos Who Lunch, #SupportLatinxPodcasts, y hasta la próxima (w lots of música, no se preocupen)!

Pérez and Vero, I have been listening to your podcast for a couple of months and I love it. It made me mad to hear that listeners criticize your intelligence and style – you two are so authentic on the show, and you offer a sonic space that makes so many people feel welcome. I wanted to give you two some love – (not trying to be creepy in any way) – I think Vero has one of the best laughs ever, and Pérez’ voice is so fluid and is really well suited for communications. Ignore the haters, keep being yourself.

I loved this episode! Please keep bringing this bomb content ❤

Also, Vero, have you heard the Steven Universe corrido? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zUfjhyULGA

Sending y'all love from the RGV (south TX), besos!
